Job Title: Senior Instructor of Clinical Practice Psychiatrist MD/DO

Job Summary:
This position at the Colorado Department of Corrections (DOC) provides psychiatric assessments to ensure all inmates sentenced have adequate access to mental health treatments in 17 locations throughout Colorado.
Psychiatric providers employed by the University of Colorado to provide care to the inmates in DOC shall be responsible for offering professional psychiatric services to the inmate population in compliance with DOC Clinical Services and mental health guidelines to include psychiatric assessment of offenders mental health needs prescription and management of psychiatric medicine clinical management of offenders with mental illness consultation with other staff regarding the mental health needs of inmates provision of training to ancillary staff regarding psychiatric needs and issues and assisting in the care of inmates presenting with psychiatric crises or emergencies.
This position is considered full-time (1.0).

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Minimum Qualifications:
MD/DO Colorado Physician License or eligible for a Colorado Physician License
Board Eligible or Certified in Psychiatry
Proficiency in telepsychiatry
Track:
This role aligns with the Clinical Practice Track with a principal focus on direct patient care or program leadership. This role is not eligible for Tenure. Learn more about faculty tracks at the Offices for the Faculty Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with Forensic populations.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population of faculty staff and students.
Knowledge experience and ability to manage complex information and computer systems.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$255000 - $255553
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
