Job Summary
Position Title: Registered Nurse Operating Room
Location: Utica NY
Job Type: Contract Local or Travel
Shift: Days (4x10s) 12:30 PM 11:00 PM
Duration: 13-week assignment
Weekly Pay: $1900 $2250
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Registered Nurse Operating Roomfor an exciting Travel or Local job inUtica NY.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures with a focus on safety and surgical asepsis.
Circulate in the OR for various surgical specialties including ENT Orthopedics Urology General Surgery Neurosurgery Podiatry Plastics and Trauma.
Prepare and maintain the operating room manage surgical instruments and supplies and support surgical teams throughout procedures.
Monitor patient vitals and document care accurately using the EPIC EMR system.
Participate in on-call rotations as required.
Float to other units as needed within the RN scope of practice.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies safety protocols and infection control standards.
Collaborate closely with surgical teams anesthesia staff and charge nurses to deliver high-quality care.
Qualifications:
Active New York State RN License Required at time of submission
Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience Required
Travel RN experience Strongly Preferred
Trauma and Neuro surgical experience Required
BLS certification (AHA) Required
PALS certification Preferred
EPIC EMR experience Required
Skills checklist matching OR specialty Required
Two recent OR Charge Nurse/Manager references Required
Valid drivers license with matching address Required
