Office of Family Assistance
TheOffice ofFamily Assistanceprovides policy operational technical assistance and training support for safety net programs that assist low-income Ohioans. This includes: Cash assistance programsfunded by the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families block grant including Ohio Works First (OWF) and the Prevention Retention and Contingency programs; Food assistance programsincluding the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) the Summer EBT Program the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) and The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP);Program Integrity;and Adult Protective Services. What You Will Do
Management Evaluation (ME) is a federally mandated program. Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) mandates Ohio provide a plan each year that requires a certain number of counties be reviewed as well as a certain number of cases. Ensuring the ME Unit is fully staffed is essential to Ohio meeting all FNS mandated requirements.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) known as food stamps helps low-income people buy nutritious food. SNAP cases are reviewed to make sure they are completed timely and accurately. In this job the work of county caseworkers is reviewed to see if they are making the correct decision on SNAP cases.
Job Duties
You need to be:
Schedule: Full-time
Hours: Standard workdays are Monday through Friday. Hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Travel: Occasional travel within the state of Ohio.

Pay Information
This position is in the State of Ohios SEIU/1199 Pay Schedule Pay Range 12. Unless required by legislation or union contract starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1 currently $31.74per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.
