Job Description:

We are a well-established union commercial drywall contractor serving the Chicago metro area. We are currently seeking skilled and motivated Commercial Drywall Carpenters to join our team on a full-time basis. Candidates must have experience in commercial metal stud framing drywall hanging and related tasks in a fast-paced construction environment.

This is a union position offering competitive wages and a full benefits package in accordance with the local collective bargaining agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform commercial metal stud framing drywall hanging and backing/blocking installation

• Accurately read and follow construction blueprints and specifications

• Install drywall systems to meet project and code requirements

• Work safely and efficiently on active construction sites

• Collaborate with foremen general contractors and other trades on-site

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Adhere to all union rules job site protocols and OSHA safety standards

• Contribute to a positive and productive team environment

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial drywall carpentry

• Proficient in metal stud framing and drywall hanging techniques

• Ability to interpret blueprints and construction drawings

• Familiarity with power tools hand tools and job site safety procedures

• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

• Strong work ethic punctuality and attention to detail

• Must be a member in good standing with the local union or willing to join
