Payroll Support Officer

Overview of role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Support Officer to join our this role you will provide vital administrative and operational support to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Acting as the key back-up to the Payroll Coordinator you will help maintain compliance with legislation internal policies and enterprise agreement conditions while delivering outstanding service to employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

As our Payroll Support Officer youll be accountable for:

• Assisting with end-to-end payroll processing including liaising with the external provider.

• Maintaining accurate payroll records ensure data integrity and manage compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

• Responding to employee queries regarding pay leave deductions and supporting payroll-related onboarding/offboarding activities.

• Supporting payroll reconciliations reporting and audits ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Contributing to payroll process improvements and providing general administrative support to the People & Capability team.

About you:

• Demonstrated experience in payroll administration and a familiarity with payroll systems (e.g.: SAP ADP Aurion etc) and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).

• Understanding of enterprise agreements or awards and employment legislation.

• High attention to detail accuracy and ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support employees and stakeholders.

Salary:

The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 2 $62475 - $72897 Superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
