SUMMARY OF THE ROLE


Reporting to the Manager Supply Chain Operations the Procurement Coordinator supports the Rio Grande LNG site Supply Chain team in Brownsville TX by executing sourcing purchasing and coordination activities for goods and services across multiple categories. This role provides excellent exposure to end-to-end procurement processes while ensuring cost effectiveness and compliance with company policies and procedures.This role is based in Brownsville Texas. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support procurement activities including sourcing evaluating and selecting suppliers across various spend categories.
    • Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and Statements of Work/Statement of Services (SOWs/SOS) accurately and timely.
    • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers benchmark pricing and monitor industry trends.
    • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and collaborate cross-functionally.
    • Assist with vendor proposal evaluations to identify cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities.
    • Help resolve supplier-related issues concerning quality delivery schedules and invoicing discrepancies.
    • Support spend analysis budget tracking and supplier performance monitoring activities.
    • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company standards guidelines policies and procedures.
    • Assist with contract review maintenance and compliance monitoring.
    • Support process improvement initiatives administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelors degree in business Supply Chain or related field.
    • 0-2 years experience with internship or entry-level experience in procurement purchasing or Supply Chain role.
    • Excellent people skills with the ability to collaborate effectively cross-functionally.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Supply Chain certifications such as CPSM CCCM CPCM CSCP MCIPS or other relevant certifications.
Job Site Work Environment
Must be able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.
Operates in a complex construction environment.
Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
Not necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes. Possible exposure to hot cold wet humid or windy weather conditions.
Exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical circuits.
Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds of a pitch level sufficient to cause marked distraction.
Routinely uses standard office and field communications equipment such as computers phones photocopiers w/scanner and fax and radios.

Ability to drive to other Company work locations as required.

The incumbent is required to have fully mechanical motion and usage of all extremities.
Physically able to walk stand bend stoop kneel reach twist lift push pull climb balance crouch handle and lift items weighing up to 20 lbs. without assistance.
Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to clearly communicate with others via radio phone and verbal methods.
May be required to enter confined spaces.
May be required to work at elevated heights and access elevated structures without assistance.
