As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset and Wealth Management youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Act as a technical contributor responsible for providing critical solutions within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others.
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
Leads evaluation sessions with other technology partners teams to drive outcome-oriented probing of architectural designs.
Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
Adds to team culture of diversity inclusion and respect.

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Knowledge of modern architectures based on micro services REST APIs NoSQL stores and eventing.
Building Cloud native applications.
Knowledge in AWS (or similar cloud platforms)
Experience working through entire lifecycle of at least 2 large complex application build-out (from scratch) and delivery for either a large financial organization or a top-class technology product team.
Knowledge of CI/CD DevOps tool chain software monitoring and a test-driven approach to agile delivery is expected.
Strong team working skills and the ability to work on multiple parallel work items with other developers analysts etc.
Advanced in one or more programming language(s)
Exposure of AI concepts and development assistance tools like Microsoft Copilot

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

Experience in development of High Availability system architectures.
Leverage AWS services including ECS EKS and Lambda to design deploy and manage scalable and efficient cloud-based applications within the software development lifecycle
Ability to implement change and development process improvements including required culture changes
