About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to operate and maintain a range of manual machinery ensuring components are machined to precise specifications and meeting production requirements.
Reporting directly to the Workshop Supervisor some of your responsibilities will include:
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Performing quality control inspections to ensure precision
- Collaborating closely with a small tight-knit workshop team
- Operating manual lathes milling machines drilling and slotting equipment
- Supporting shutdown and site-based work when required (optional travel for extra earning potential)
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Sound knowledge of mechanical fitting
- Proven experience with manual machining equipment
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Trade qualification as a Machinist with Cert III in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to health and safety procedures
- Willingness to learn with training opportunities provided to grow into hydraulic technician roles
