Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Time Kitchen Manager to oversee the nightly operations and work on the floor of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for food management ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a blend of working a postiotion while managing staff and creating a positive dining experience for our guests while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation cooking and presentation.
- Work a postion in a very busy environment while overseeing a team of at least 6.
- Train supervise and mentor kitchen staff including assistant managers and team members.
- Conduct interviews for new kitchen staff and participate in the hiring process.
- Oversee shift management to ensure efficient workflow during peak hours.
- Implement food service management practices to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor food quality and presentation to meet customer expectations.
- Work 5 nights a week form 2pm-10 or 11pm
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a kitchen management role or similar position within the hospitality industry. (minimum of 4 years experience)
- Strong knowledge of food management practices including safety regulations and sanitation standards.
- Excellent coaching skills while maintaing a positive attitude.
- Experience in interviewing and training staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work culture.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations and cleanliness.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays as needed. (off on Sundays)
