About the role:
At Next we have a great opportunity for a Domestic Assistant to join our busy Facilities department at our Radar Rod site. You will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment for our employees and visitors.
Main Tasks:
- Ensure all areas are clean and kept to a high standard.
- Demonstrate safe use of cleaning materials and chemicals abiding to COSHH
- Be responsible for vacuuming emptying bins cleaning surfaces windows and washrooms as well any other cleaning duties as required.
- Cleaning and sanitising designated areas including offices meeting rooms common areas and toilets according to established standards and schedules.
- Replenishing supplies such as soap toilet paper paper towels and other amenities.
- Monitoring and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and reporting any shortages or malfunctions.
- Assisting with setup and cleanup for events meetings and conferences.
- Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and machinery ensuring proper usage and safety protocols
- Reporting any maintenance issues damages or safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Collaborating with other members of the facilities team to ensure efficient operations and a positive working environment.
About you:
- Demonstrate an ability to work within health and safety guidelines
- Have a real passion and high standards for house-keeping
- Have a positive attitude and a flexible approach
- Proven experience in a cleaning role preferably in a corporate or professional environment.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals equipment and techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and dedication to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
