NFLS British Columbia Academy (NFLS-BCA) was founded in 2002 and provides secondary education as a Canadian offshore high school in China. The school is accredited by Canadas British Columbia Ministry of Education and by the Jiangsu Ministry of Education.

The English and Drama role
NFLS British Columbia Academy (BCA) invites applications for a Grade 10 English & Drama Teacher. The successful candidate will teach English 10 and Drama 10 within the British Columbia (BC) curriculum helping students develop strong literacy analytical and performance skills as they work towards the BC Dogwood Diploma.
This position is ideal for a teacher who combines academic rigour in English with creativity in Drama and who is eager to contribute to a dynamic school community.
Key Responsibilities
Teach English 10 and Drama 10 in alignment with the BC curriculum.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that integrate literary analysis writing speaking and dramatic performance.
Foster student growth in the core competencies of the BC curriculum: communication thinking and personal/social responsibility.
Encourage student involvement in school plays productions and house events.
Assess student achievement fairly and accurately following BC Ministry of Education reporting requirements.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives and professional learning.
Participate actively in co-curricular life embodying BCAs motto: More Than a School.

Qualifications
Required:
British Columbia Teacher Certification (CoQ) or eligibility to obtain it.
Bachelor of Education (.) or a degree in English or Drama.
Preferred:
Masters degree in English Drama Education or a related field.
Experience teaching English and/or Drama at the secondary level.
Involvement in directing or supporting student performances.
Experience working in an international or cross-cultural environment.
