We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to join the Formulation Development department supporting the formulation and process development of respiratory drug products in the MannKind pipeline.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Support development and optimization of engineered particle inhaled dosage forms.
- Perform physiochemical property characterization of drug product intermediates.
- Support batch manufacture for development pre-clinical studies.
- Design execute and interpret experiments to support formulation and process development with supervision.
- Document compile review and present data.
- Handle hazardous materials and chemicals in accordance with MannKinds safety policies and procedures
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Comply with good laboratory practice including maintenance of laboratory notebooks and written procedures
- Observe all Company Health Safety and Environmental guidelines.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in Chemical Engineering Bioengineering or Pharmaceutical Engineering preferably within 1-2 years of graduation.
- Strong foundation in science and engineering principles
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Fluency in MS Office software.
- Demonstrates eagerness to learn new techniques and procedures.
- Accuracy in following instructions generating data and documenting data and procedures.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Prior experience within life sciences pharmaceuticals or biotech industries
- You possess superior time management and organizational skills.
- Experience with general laboratory procedures is a plus.
- You have an intrinsic motivation to continually improve and optimize processes.
- You take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and act on them without needing constant direction.
- You are open to constructive criticism and use it to improve performance and grow professionally.
When and Where Youll Shine:
- Full-time commitment Monday to Friday
- Location: Bedford MA 01730
- A reliable commute or the intention to find temporary housing before starting the Co-op is required.
