SUMMARY
The Community Education Activity Helper is responsible for the planning and implementation of daily activities and lessons. Staff is responsible for the supervision and safety of all children assigned to their care and for facilitating communication between staff members assigned to their team. Depending on department needs and program staffing must be willing to be temporarily reassigned to another school as necessary. Staff may have to travel to various sites depending on student and staff ratios.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Must have reliable mode of transportation
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Six (6) months of childcare experience
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization.
Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department.
12 hours of the Department of Economic Services (DES) health and safety classes (required within 60 days of hire at no cost to employee.
CPR and First Aid Certification(required within 90 days of hire at employees expense).Certification must be maintained current during courseof employment.

Location: Oyama Elementary School- 36th & La Cholla Area
FTE: 1.0 8 hours per day
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
