As a Lead Software Engineer- Azure Services at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector- Infrastructure Platforms you are an integral part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing building and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable manner. As a core technical contributor you will be responsible for implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical domains supporting various business functions to achieve the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors startups and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs technical credentials and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming languages such as Python or Java
- Ability to design and engineer public cloud platform services
- Knowledge of Azure and Azure Services including IAM Networking Logging Compute and storage services to build platform services and cloud governance process/services
- Ability to contribute to the development and architecture of a multi-cloud networks ensuring high availability and scalability
- Knowledge of Cloud Application development using Azure Cloud services and ability to manage application infrastructure to meet the firms controls on cloud security
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience with version control systems like Git and experience participating in code review / peer review processes
- Ability to Design and Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform Bicep ARM templates and experience with tools to support automated infrastructure deployment and provisioning
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
- Azure Certified Solutions Architect or Administrator
- Expert Azure experience
- Experience with other public cloud platforms like AWS and GCP in addition to Azure
