Job Summary
We are currently hiring a full-time Cleaner for Driftwood Mall in Comox BC. The ideal candidate will ensure the buildings common areas are consistently clean sanitized and welcoming for all mall visitors.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Litter pick-up around the building exterior
- Empty and spot-clean all waste receptacles
- Wipe down and disinfect light switches and door handles
- Clean entrance glass doors (both sides); remove smudges and marks
- Polish kick plates push plates and thresholds
- Vacuum all carpeted areas including walk-off mats
- Wipe clean tables and chairs; remove trays
- Replace garbage bags and dispose of waste/recyclables in designated bins
- Maintain a clean and organized janitors room; restock supplies
- Report any plumbing issues to the manager
- Order new cleaning supplies when necessary
- Operate gas-powered leaf blower and power washing machine to maintain exterior cleanliness of the property.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience operating a gas leaf blower or willingness to learn
- Prior cleaning experience is an asset
- Reliable with strong time management skills
- Good communicator with effective verbal and written English
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Additional Details:
- Position: Full-Time Cleaner Driftwood Mall
- Pay: $22.50 / hour
- Experience: 2 years of cleaning experience (preferred)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday 6:30 AM 2:30 PM
