What Youll Be Working On

Our internships and co-ops are designed to provide you with a business relevant project that will allow you to independently manage your own area of responsibility while receiving support from an assigned Supervisor and Technical Mentor. Well help you discover your strengths and development areas in a challenging fun and supportive work environment.

We are seeking a student to join us for a 12-month co-op position starting in January 2026. This position will be based out of Calgary AB.

Responsibilities:

  • Under supervision of the senior developers or independently complete the following activities:

  • Design and develop custom business applications using PowerApps (Canvas and Model-Driven).

  • Build and optimize automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes.

  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint Microsoft Teams Dataverse SQL Server and other data sources.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements define use cases and deliver scalable solutions.

  • Maintain and enhance existing Power Platform solutions based on user feedback and evolving business needs.

  • Ensure solutions follow best practices for security performance and governance.

  • Provide documentation training and support to end users and business teams.

  • Stay current with Microsoft Power Platform updates and recommend improvements.


Who We Need On Our Team

  • You are currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree diploma or certificate in Business Analysis Computer Science or related discipline.

  • You will complete at least one more semester of education following your internship and possess a GPA of 3.0 or higherAbility to lead and operate within an environment where change happens frequently

  • Ability to forge grow and maintain positive relationshipsExemplify the Ideal Team Player Hungry Humble SmartHighly developed interpersonal communication and organizational skills

  • Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goalsAbility to work collaboratively with a positive attitude

  • Residency or a valid work permit which would allow you to work for Bird Construction or one of our wholly owned subsidiaries

  • If you are selected for a role with client specific requirements you may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment Medical and/or Alcohol & Drug testing.
