Flight Simulation Software Engineers (Associate, Experienced, and Senior)

The Boeing Company is currently seeking Flight Simulation Software Engineers (Associate Experienced and Senior) to join the Flight Simulation Labs team located in Berkeley MO.This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

The roles will involve software development for tools that support simulation infrastructure across Flight Simulation Labs. Selected candidates will be aligned to a statement of work that best suits their interests and skillset some of which could include:

• Creating core simulation infrastructure to serve as a jumping-off point for programs developing flight simulation capabilities

• Developing tools to simulate monitor and capture messages between subsystems in a lab environment

• Modeling various aircraft capabilities including the ability to run constructive scenarios in a testing environment

Our Air Dominance software engineers design develop and demonstrate avionics solutions for the platforms we build and upgrade. Your efforts will assist in integration of innovative technologies to maintain our platforms dominance over the battlefield for many decades to come. Additionally our software engineers support the Flight Simulation products associated to our platforms.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate Experienced and Senior Level Software Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develops documents and maintains architectures requirements algorithms interfaces and designs for software systems

• Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system

• Supports development of simulation environments to supporting testing performed by Mission Systems engineers

• Works on an agile team in order to accomplish team goals

• Executes and documents software research and development projects

• Works under general direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• 2 years of experience programming in C C C# Python Java or Ada (or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience)

• 2 years experience as a Software Engineer

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelors Master or Doctor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry

• Experience in the defense or avionics industry

• Knowledge of basic networking principles

• Experience working on an Agile team using Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira

• Strong coordination and communication skills

• Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment while supporting multiple concurrent activities

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Associate Level: $90100.00 - $121900 .00.

Summary pay range for Experienced Level: $110500.00 - $149500.00.

Summary pay range for Senior Level: $132600.00 - $179400.00.
