Position Overview:

Were looking for a driven and consultative Account Executive IT Solutions to spearhead new business acquisition within our Managed Services this role youll manage the entire sales cyclefrom prospecting and lead generation to solution design negotiation and closingfocusing on selling Managed IT Services including cloud computing cybersecurity data backup and infrastructure management to small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs).

This is a fully onsite role based in our Naperville IL office. The ideal candidate has experience in B2B technology or IT services sales thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at building trust through consultative value-based selling.

Key Responsibilities:

New Business Development

  • Identify and engage SMB prospects through outbound calls email outreach LinkedIn and networking channels.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified leads using CRM and prospecting tools (Salesforce HubSpot ZoomInfo LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand each prospects IT infrastructure pain points and business goals.

Consultative Solution Selling

  • Lead solution-based sales conversations focused on Managed IT Services cloud adoption cybersecurity and system optimization.
  • Partner with technical teams to design tailored solutions that align with client objectives and IT requirements.
  • Deliver presentations and proposals that clearly communicate ROI and long-term business value.

Sales Cycle Management

  • Own the full sales processfrom qualification and proposal development to negotiation and deal closure.
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates within CRM tracking all interactions and pipeline stages.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals through consistent strategic execution.

Client Relationship Development

  • Build long-term partnerships with clients by ensuring a smooth handoff to onboarding and customer success teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to new clients providing insights on IT optimization and security best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth renewals and cross-selling additional services.

Market & Product Expertise

  • Stay current on industry trends competitor offerings and emerging technologies in Managed IT and cybersecurity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to refine go-to-market strategies and messaging for SMB customers.
  • Provide market feedback to improve product positioning pricing and solution design.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of B2B sales experience preferably in IT services SaaS or Managed Services.
  • Proven ability to generate leads manage a pipeline and close deals in a quota-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of Managed IT Services including cloud computing cybersecurity and infrastructure management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • CRM proficiency (Salesforce HubSpot) and experience with digital prospecting tools (ZoomInfo LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
  • Highly organized self-motivated and driven to exceed performance goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling into SMB or healthcare-related markets.
  • Background in solution or consultative sales with technical collaboration.
  • Bachelors degree in business Marketing or related field (preferred but not required).
