Approval based off unit needs Guaranteed Hours: traveler may be cancelled one shift/2 weeks *this unit does not accept travel pairs* * Gold Beacon Award-winning unit* *voted #4 in US News report and #1 in the nation for outcomes* Pediatric Cardiology Intensive Care unit is a 29 bed Beacon Award-Winning unit and is the referral center for all major pediatric cardiac surgery in South Carolina. Average Daily Census on the unit is 26 with a blend of cardiac surgical and medical diagnoses. The PCICU cares for patients with congenital heart disease of any age based on care needs. Common procedures associated with this units care include cardiac surgery Ventricular Assist Devices Heart Transplant cardiac catheterization and all medical diagnoses associated with cardiac care for the children in South addition to ventilatory and cardiac support the unit provides ECMO/CRRT and additional complex supportive therapies . Pediatric palliative care is available as needed The staffing mix includes Registered Nurses Patient Care Technicians and Unit Secretaries with ancillary supportive services such as Respiratory Therapy Pediatric Dietitians and Pediatric Pharmacist available as needed. All PCICU beds are monitored beds. Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Level I Trauma Center Teaching Facility Magnet Hospital Total Staffed Beds: 820 Charting: EPIC Parking Cost: Parking management office (located 91presidents street) to obtain parking permit. $20 registration fee for a hang tag which will allow use of the garage. No additional fees. Hang tag will not cover parking in any other locations. If parking outside of the 91 Street Parking Garage additional fees may be incurred.
