Location: Utica NY 13502

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 10hr Eve

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Weekly Pay Rate: $2320 - $2520; (Negotiable based on experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week assignment in Utica NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trauma and neuro cases and must be proficient in working within a fast-paced surgical environment. This role requires excellent clinical judgment teamwork and patient care skills.

Responsibilities:

Provide perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
Prepare operating room equipment and instruments prior to surgery
Monitor patients vital signs and condition throughout procedures
Collaborate with surgical team members including surgeons anesthesiologists and surgical technologists
Maintain strict adherence to sterile field and infection control protocols
Document all nursing care accurately and timely in the EPIC EMR system
Assist in emergency surgeries as needed especially in trauma or neuro cases

Requirements:

Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience
- Documented travel nursing experience
Licensure:
- Active New York RN license (required)
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
Specialty Experience:
- Trauma and Neuro surgical case experience required
EMR Experience:
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR required
