Job Summary:
The Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving the network infrastructure providing technical support and ensuring efficient and secure network operations. This role involves a wide range of tasks including installation configuration troubleshooting and providing expert advice on IT matters.

Responsibilities:
- Work in cooperation with contractors staff and other agencies.
- Install and configure microcomputers servers storage devices printers scanners communications devices cabling LAN drops and network equipment.
- Deploy new equipment and software to the existing network.
- Create/restore workstation images.
- Troubleshoot workstation network connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Install software/hardware on workstations and servers.
- Provide image transfer from the electronic document management system.
- Maintain and enhance the website.
- Design install configure and operate the replication process for disaster recovery.
- Conduct performance measurements and analysis for network improvement.
- Conduct analysis design installation configuration and operation of email software.
- Design maintain and improve the WAN and LAN structure.
- Configure network software and hardware for efficient performance and data security.
- Monitor network performance through management and diagnostic programs.
- Configure microcomputers communications equipment and network equipment for maximum efficiency.
- Analyze microcomputer and network activity records and recommend upgrades and improvements.
- Diagnose software and hardware problems and coordinate service with vendors.
- Provide expert technical advice and guidance regarding IT directions and enhancements.
- Deploy upgrade and configure hardware and software in multiple locations incorporating testing and quality assurance.
- Aid with operational tasks such as file restores volume configuration and print-related problems.
- Troubleshoot failures in operational tasks and undertake corrective measures.
- Utilize a secure remote access method for troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Support secure remote access to computer systems and file transfers.
- Provide on-site/field service support and secure remote access statewide during normal business hours.
- Manage the daily backup of central servers and take corrective action when backups fail.
