Job Description
Platform Engineer Elastic Search (Local only) C2C okay
New York City 3 days/week onsite
We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer with expertise in Elasticsearch to design deploy optimize and maintain our enterprise search and data analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in search engine architectures data ingestion and content management systems ensuring our search solutions are scalable reliable and performant to support business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Elasticsearch Administration & Optimization
- Deploy configure and maintain Elasticsearch clusters ensuring high availability scalability and performance.
- Develop and enforce best practices for data indexing sharding replication and data lifecycle management.
- Monitor cluster health perform capacity planning and optimize search and query performance.
- Manage Elasticsearch security features including role-based access control (RBAC) encryption and audit logging.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cluster issues including node failures data corruption or network partitions.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 5 years experience working with Elasticsearch
- Hands-on experience with deploying scaling and tuning Elasticsearch clusters.
- Strong understanding of search engine architecture information retrieval and relevance tuning.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash Python or similar.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
