Job Summary

Our client a dynamic import and export company based in the Northern Suburbs is on the lookout for a skilled Cost and Management Accountant to join their growing team. This role is ideal for finance professionals with 3-5 years of experience of solid accounting/finance experience preferably gained within the international import and export environment. Holding a recognized designation such as CA(SA) or CIMA youll bring both credibility and expertise to the role. With strong proficiency in Sage Accounting and MS Excel youll leverage your technical and analytical skills to drive cost efficiency deliver actionable insights and partner with operations to influence smarter business decisions in a fast-paced global trade setting.
As the Cost and Management Accountant your duties include the following:
Support the preparation of the annual budget
Prepare monthly management accounts in Sage including reconciliations and related reporting
Assist with monthly VAT submissions income tax processes and annual audit preparation
Prepare estimated local and foreign costs for all export markets
Integrate producer costs into the information systems
Maintain and update the master documents of shipments
Ensure accurate accounting records and system
Assist with container consolidations
Provide data and reports
Conduct weekly supply and sales budget vs actual analyses
Respond to enquiries
Additional duties as discussed with Senior Management
Skills & Experience:
3-5 years of experience in a similar role
Proficiency in MS Excel and Sage Accounting
Qualification:
Completed Finance or Accounting diploma or degree
Completed SAICA or CIMA articles
