Job Description

Role Summary

The Commissioning Process Engineer is expected to proactively support the Site team in disciplines related to the commissioning and start-up of System/plant for Cogeneration LNG Carbon Capture Hydrogen . Main duties are ranging from design of commissioning instruction/procedures on NPD and/or novel systems drive the FMEA Design Review for start-up and assist Field Service Engineers in troubleshooting and technical queries. You will also perform defect analysis in order to feed all the related product improvement field to design feedback quality initiatives. Hand off to Fleet Support for Containment actions and Lesson Learns.
You will be requested to give telephone availability out of normal working hours and availability for occasional traveling to execute site assessment/support.

Responsibilities authorities and accountabilities

  • The Commissioning Process Engineer is accountable for the technical coordination of the commissioning and start up activities process side you will follow the assigned projects starting from early engagement from OTR Plant & Modules in case ofnovelties and of specific requirements collect info about string test issue and resolutionreview the documentation drive the FMEA and Design Review and assist Field Service Engineers in troubleshooting helping them from office or directly at site during commissioning and start up phases in order to assure a smooth Commissioning process and improve plant start-up. Support as process expert the Red Flag Review milestones of the assigned projects. Hand off to Fleet Support for Containment actions and LessonLearns and give field to designfeedback.

  • You will report to an HQ coordinator and shall interact with: field service engineer Pre&com Eng site manager project manager local sourcing department local technical team site non conformities hubs present in other countries Head Quarter in Florence

  • Evaluate if necessary with support of Engineering Supplier Quality Suppliers and Logistic the possible solutions both form a technical and financial view point.

Required Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Chemical Engineering

  • Knowledge in chemical technology activities focused on Specification Design and/or testing of system/Process plant

  • Knowledge in Plant Process Control and functionality

  • Fluent spoken/written English mandatory Italian basic knowledge desired

  • The ideal candidate has a Customer Centric behavior is able to deal with Customers and meet specific requirements when needed.

  • Strives for achieving the Project goals and Customer satisfaction.

  • Have a passion for the work well done first time intellectual rigor and professional discipline while running the Project.

  • Be a team player able to effectively communicate with his/her peers and good influencing skills when dealing with Functions

Desired Characteristics

  • Ideally the resource should have design site testing department experience developed in Oil & Gas plants LNG plant Cogeneration Plant Carbon Capture Plant and Hydrogen Plant supporting process for commissioning and start up

  • Knowledge of Oracle Primavera ERP system Microsoft Suite and experience with EDM/Teamcenter to manage engineering documentation

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification
