Job Summary

Summary:

Val-co a leader in commercial poultry egg and swine production equipment specializing in world-famous poultry watering and feeding systems is currently looking for a Full-Time Press Room Supervisor- 2nd Shift in our Coldwater Ohio facility.

This position is Responsible for:

Develop employees in department to improve performance in all areas including safety quality productivity and continuous improvement.
Develop employees in department to improve performance in all areas including safety quality productivity and continuous improvement.
Supervise and/or setup all presses and machinery in press room using the safety procedures as outlined in company die setting procedures.
Assist with training to develop employees in department to meet company goals and expectations.
Coordinate the handling of material and/or dies as needed to expedite the material flow in out and within the department. Ensure material handling procedures/operators follow all safety protocols and policies.
Assure all first article inspections are complete.
Train instruct and /or enforce company procedures for reporting all work order and inventory transactions required within department.
Complete 5S audits periodically as a training tool to coach individuals in department to develop better understanding of 5S practices.
Recommend or suggest die modifications methods improvements or material flow changes that will improve the efficiency safety or quality of our products or employees.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years Press Room Supervisor Experience preferred
Have overhead crane training.
Be proficient in use of measuring instruments such as micrometers caliper gages rulers etc.
Ability to instruct and communicate effectively with reports and fellow employees.
Ability to efficiently plan and organize department resources.
Possess good decision making and problem-solving skills.
Thorough understanding of steel fabrication and tooling processes
