POSITION: Assistant Principal of Climate and Culture - Pilgrim High School
WORK YEAR: 210 Days Per Year
SALARY: Commensurate with School Committee Administrative Pay Policy

Due to the possibility of an internal transfer(s) resulting in a vacancy at another middle school or high school we ask that you indicate in your letter of intent whether you wish to be considered for only the Winman vacancy or any other vacancy that may occur.
Appointment to this position will be effective for the 25-26 work year
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR MAKING APPLICATION:
As a prerequisite for making application for the position of Secondary Assistant Principal interested persons must hold the Bachelors and Masters Degree from an accredited college or university and be eligible for an Secondary Principal or a PK-12 Building Level Administrator certificate issued by the Rhode Island Department of Education.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assists in establishing improving and maintaining administrative and educational procedures necessary for the successful operation of the school.
Responsible for the enforcement of all school and district policies.
Work with students and families to follow the school/district discipline policy.
Assists in supervising all personnel in assignment and evaluation.
Assists in the budgetary process at the discretion of the building principal.
Maintains current knowledge of all pertinent policies rules and regulations.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by district and building level administrators.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates will be judged on the basis of qualifications for the position. The person whose qualifications are considered to be best among the candidates shall be appointed to the position. Among the qualifications to be considered are: previous experiences in and outside the field of education; educational background; professional activities and involvement; knowledge of educational issues and problems ability to express ones self and to articulate issues and concerns; personality.
