Job Summary
Plumbing-related work installing maintaining repairing and operating irrigation systems.
Essential Functions
installs maintains and repairs irrigation systems and related sprinkler equipment and associated plumbing fixtures in accordance with applicable codes and regulatory standards.
technical specifications and related design data to include blueprints electrical diagrams and schematics.
and programs irrigation-related time clocks.
parts and supply list for assigned projects.
records of time and material used.
parts inventory.
excavates underground piping and associated irrigation infrastructure.
trenches compactors power and hand tools.
other duties as assigned.
Probation: Six (6) months
Qualifications
Open Requirements: A three (3)-year combination of education training or plumbing experience which involved the installation repair or operation of irrigation systems. Must have the physical ability to meet the physical demands of this job and perform the essential functions.

Licensing:A valid Florida drivers license is required prior to appointment and must be maintained during employment in this class.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of the techniques methods practices and procedures used in the installation maintenance repair and operation of irrigation systems
- Knowledge of equipment tools and supplies required to install maintain repair and operate irrigation systems
- Knowledge of equipment materials and supplies used in building and grounds maintenance
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
- Basic oral written and interpersonal skills
- Ability to care for and properly use irrigation system-related equipment and tools
- Ability to read understand and apply job-related information and materials including blue prints electrical diagrams schematic drawings and equipment and safety manuals
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
