Work Location: County Hall Glenfield Leicester LE3 8RL

Worker Category: LCC Hybrid Worker

Salary: Grade- 47829 per annum (pro rata for part time)

Working Hours:

- 1 x 37 hours per week (primarily focused on working age adults)
- 1 x 27.5 hours per week (primarily focused on older adults)

Contract Type: Fixed term until 31st March 2026 or Secondment 31st March 2026

Would you like to join us as a commissioning officer and help to shape the way our Adult Social Care services are developed If you want to be an integral part of a great team developing high-quality innovative and cost-effective services across Leicestershire this could be the opportunity for you.

About the Role

The specific responsibilities and tasks are;


1. To support with commissioning of adult social care services across Leicestershire including Extra Care schemes and Transforming Care and fee review processes.
2. This will include engagement and co-production with relevant stakeholders analysis of complex data report writing qualitative research and drawing conclusions from the evidence gathered.
3. To support other commissioning activities relevant to Adult Social Care.

About You

To apply for this post you must:

A relevant degree or professional qualification or an equivalent level of relevant experience.
Experience of social care commissioning and service development.
Developed innovative approaches in your work.
Experience of engaging with adult social care providers.
Aware of key issues facing local authorities and provider markets as well as knowledge of the Care Act.
Organised and a good time manager.
A good communicator partnership worker and able to be flexible to meet changing demands.

You must also have an understanding of and commitment toequality diversity and inclusion.

In addition we also expect you to shareour commitment to our valuesand will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the selection process.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for this role.
