JOB SUMMARY

The Department of English at California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB) seeks to hire a lecturer qualified to teach a course in Audiology and Audiometry in support of our Speech-Language Pathology Certificate and Minor programs:
ENG 5570: Audiology and Audiometry. Study of anatomy and physiology of the ear as well as the central auditory processing system. Considers characteristics assessment and management of various hearing disorders.

Lecturers will teach courses we need covered in our Minor/Certificate program in Speech Language Pathology.

TYPICAL ACTIVITIES

Position involves preparing a syllabus and assignments creating lessons and class activities attending class weekly for the duration of the semester grading assignments holding weekly office hours and responding to student communication in a timely manner.

Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty staff and students across a wide range of disciplines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

AuD or PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders Speech-Language Pathology Neuroscience or a closely-related field.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in hand by time of appointment

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS

CCC-A Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology

Evidence of scholarly activity publication and innovation is valued. Evidence of exemplary graduate-level teaching and leadership experience at program level is preferred and should be noted in application.
