We are looking for a Logistics Supervisor located in our Hingham MA facility.
Our growing facility has more than two hundred employees that produce high-quality make-to-order power distribution equipment. Our processes include material handling metal fabrication painting final assembly and this role you will lead all aspects of inventory control and material handling in the manufacturing areas.
Youll make a difference by:
Improving inventory accuracy on the production floor and will lead all aspects of manage and coordinate daily materials handling and shipping activities to support our manufacturing lines
Promote a hazard-free 5S-organized work environment through routine inspections equipment maintenance and safety compliance.
Supervise hourly associates manage staffing provide training and performance feedback and lead hiring disciplinary actions and motivation efforts.
Lead all aspects of accurate inventory across all areas via cycle counts ERP data accuracy and variance reporting; coordinate receiving put-away and material replenishment.
Collaborate with Planning Production ME and supplier logistics teams to ensure timely material delivery and equipment readiness.
Improve continuous improvement through the use of LEAN tools coordinate critical metrics such as efficiency and cycle times and address operational challenges.
Utilize SAP for inventory and receiving activities; manage departmental budgets and purchase orders for inventoried materials.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Youll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
35 years supervising teams of 5 members in warehousing logistics or materials handling within fast-paced environments.
Minimum requirement is a High School Diploma or GED.
Advanced skills in SAP and Microsoft Excel with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Demonstrates discretion with confidential matters and excels in verbal written and interpersonal communication across teams.
Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business Supply Chain or Engineering
APICS certification is a plus.
Excel macros are a plus.
Six Sigma and/or Lean manufacturing certification is a plus.
