Laboratory Technician

As a Laboratory Technician onsite at the PPG Springdale R&D center (Pittsburgh) - Performance Testing Laboratory you will support new product development and part qualification for PPG Automotive customers. As part of this role you will perform equipment verification catalog daily conditions checks assist with calibrations and reports to make sure we are testing within the proper limits. You will also create reports for our Automotive customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily testing calibration measuring and analysis and interact daily with Commercial Technical Service and Technical.

• Maintain a safe working environment wear all required PPE and follow lab safety protocols.

• Perform physical and corrosion testing for OEMS by following specific test method procedures.

• Execute projects and detailed reports according to mutually agreed upon timelines and goals.

• Perform daily lab maintenance activities and cleanups.

• Maintain documentation and standards required for ISO 17025 certification.

Qualifications

• HS diploma GED or similar is required; AS degree in engineering engineering technology chemistry or similar.

• 0 years of experience in a manufacturing warehouse or laboratory environment

• 1 years of experience in a coatings/paint laboratory or similar testing environment is ideal.

• Take careful measurements with laboratory tools
