MMI Engineered Solutions is currently seeking a hands-on and experienced Tool Room Manager to join our Tooling team. This role is central to ensuring high-quality tooling smooth production readiness and dependable tool maintenance. You will lead the tool room team and collaborate with production engineering and external vendors to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the tool room team - overseeing all in-house tooling fabrication assembly and tuning.
Manage new tool builds and ensure production readiness.
Oversee preventive maintenance and repair of tools.
Maintain tool inventory schedules and performance records.
Coordinate with production and engineering to resolve tooling issues.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate tooling contracts.
Drive continuous improvement in tooling efficiency and quality.
Required Qualifications:
5 years of supervisory experience in a Tool Room as a Tool and Die Maker.
Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational problem-solving and communication skills.
Knowledge of injection molding tooling preferred.
Work Environment & Expectations:
- Manufacturing environment that may be hot noisy and dirty - Standing for up to 12 hours per day.
- Hands-on leadership position with authority to prioritize workflow.
Ensure tooling supports customer quality standards.
