What will you be doing
Head of Actuarial Reporting
Location: Hybrid 3 days per week in Dorking (occasional need for 4) as a minimum flexibility to travel to London as needed
Unum UK is looking for a strategic and dynamic Head of Actuarial Reporting to lead our actuarial reporting function and help shape the future of our business.
This is a very high-impact role responsible for delivering actuarial results across Solvency II and US/UK GAAP and for driving capital forecasting and dividend planning. You will act as a key voice in senior forums regularly presenting to Board Audit and Risk committees working closely with our US Financial reporting team and external auditors.
Youll lead a team of 34 direct reports with wider leadership responsibility across a team of around 10. Were looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment can join the dots across multiple workstreams and brings a collaborative forward-thinking approach to problem solving and stakeholder engagement.

- Qualified life actuary with 8 years PQE
- Strong Solvency II reporting experience
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Experience preparing and presenting Board-level papers
- A strategic thinker who can connect complex ideas and drive continuous improvement
