About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Corporate Lawyer to join an established and respected legal practice with offices across Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced corporate lawyer with 5-15 years PQE to take on a senior role within a progressive team that values excellence and client service.
The Role
- Corporate transactions: Leading on mergers and acquisitions corporate restructuring and complex commercial deals across various sectors
- Commercial contracts: Drafting reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements including supply agreements distribution contracts and joint venture arrangements
- Corporate governance: Advising on directors duties company secretarial matters and regulatory compliance issues
- Due diligence: Managing and conducting comprehensive legal due diligence on corporate transactions
- Client advisory: Providing strategic legal advice to established clients across the Aire Valley Yorkshire Dales and beyond
- Business development: Contributing to the growth and profile of the corporate department through networking and marketing initiatives
- Team collaboration: Working alongside an assistant solicitor and departmental secretary with access to comprehensive ICT systems and Practical Law precedents
- Mentoring: Supporting junior team members and contributing to their professional development
- Risk management: Ensuring all corporate work meets the firms Lexcel-accredited quality standards
- Client relationship management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with a broad client base across Yorkshire and surrounding regions
What Were Looking For
- Qualified solicitor with 5-15 years PQE in corporate law
- Strong experience in mergers and acquisitions corporate transactions and commercial contracts
- Excellent technical knowledge of corporate and commercial law
- Proven track record in client development and business growth
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently whilst being an effective team player
- Commercial acumen with the ability to provide practical solution-focused advice
- Experience with ICT systems and legal precedent databases preferred
- Commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards
