Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pipe and Structural Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be involved in the fabrication of various piping systems along with metal structures and components utilizing cutting equipment threading and grinding processes. This role requires precision and a keen eye for detail directly contributing to the fabrication process quality and safety of our final products.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Precisely measure cut prep and label material for welding department.
- Read and interpret piping materials structural steel material and specs to comply with material specific standards.
- Operate machinery (Vertical band saw and metal perp equipment)
- Operation of yard equipment to maneuver materials (I.E. Forklift & 10000 LB Forklift)
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace in compliance with company and safety regulations.
Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of plumbing mechanical piping and structural steel
- Familiarity with fabrication tools and machinery
- Basic Math skills required
- Inventory knowledge encouraged
- Construction industry knowledge is a must
- Understand measuring tools etc.
- Communication skills- ability to take direction and problem solve
- Attention to details and number accuracy is required
- Forklift experience preferred
Certificates Licenses Registrations
- Valid Drivers License with good record required
Other Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Knowledge with Piping Materials and types
- Knowledge with standard structural steel and all types of material
