Job Summary
Team Actuarial - Life
Working Pattern - Hybrid 2days per week in the Vitality London Office.Full time 37.5 hours per week.

What this role is all about:
As a Actuarial Analyst within the Life Reinsurance department at Vitality Life you will play a critical role in supporting the management of reinsurance arrangements including ensuring the reinsurance arrangements are supporting the strategic business objectives and are implemented and administered effectively.Key Actions
- Clean validate and analyse complex datasets to uncover trends and patterns.
- Build refine and stress-test models ensuring assumptions are robust and documented.
- Spot risks early challenge assumptions and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Run scenario testing to assess potential outcomes and improve decision-making.
- Transform complex data into clear actionable insights that influence strategy.
- Craft compelling reports and presentations that tell the story behind the numbers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify issues and drive quick resolutions.
- Embrace continuous learning from technical skills to industry trends.
- Apply fresh ideas to improve processes and share knowledge across the team.
- Take ownership of your development and actively seek opportunities to lead initiatives.
- Partner across teams align on goals and deliver results on time and to standard.

What do you need to thrive
- A minimum of a bachelors degree in maths stats or equivalent
- Student membership with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (or equivalent) and progress toward an actuarial qualification is ideal but if youre not there yet were happy to help you on that journey.
- Knowledge of SQL and RStudio writing and editing complex queries to extract and process data
- MS Office skills: Excel intermediate Word/PowerPoint basic.
