What can you bring to us
A diploma from a recognized Electrical Engineering Technology program.
3-5 years of field experience
Experience with drafting
Experience with testing equipment (Omicron Doble etc.) & relay testing with various equipment (SEL GE Siemens ABB etc.)
Experience in substations
Ability to understand & perform technically complex calculations
Strong knowledge of drawings (wiring schematic & layout)
Valid Drivers Licence
Able to travel & remain at project sites as required
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
You will get the opportunity to work in a variety of locations with a diverse & well-rounded team! Typical responsibilities would include:
Performing maintenance testing troubleshooting & repair of low medium & high voltage equipment in a safe & efficient manner
Commissioning & start-up of low medium & high voltage equipment & apparatus associated with an electrical power system
Acting as liaison with subcontractors & clients develop customer service relationships
Supervising/leading projects to ensure successful project execution according to company & client standards
Providing mentorship to junior technologists & support to team members
Completing & submitting technical reports & test sheets
