About the Job
Walmart Connect is seeking a Senior Manager to run Analytics Foundation in our San Bruno CA office. We are looking for an individual who will lead our amazing Analytics Foundation team and help advance our advertising operations capabilities by driving efforts for data gathering data transformation data integration data integrity and innovation. Responsible for creating a highly reliable repository of data that makes it easy to surface the Core and Operational KPIs for our ad products across all WMCs Display Search and In-stores offerings.
Responsibilities
- Provide vision leadership and day to day management of the Analytics Foundation data team.
- Lead the efforts on developing data pipelines and integrating new data with the highest quality output that allow for dashboards to be built that power decision making on inventory pricing sell-thru rates performance metrics etc. Advance our operational capabilities with accurate reporting to guide pricing packaging inventory forecasts campaign optimization sales strategy operational planning and efficiency and optimizing our advertising yield.
- Partner closely with Operations & Client Services Sales Strategy and Enablement Business Operations Product and Sales to monitor the roll-out new products features and integrations.
- Drive conversations with partners and stakeholders to implement instrumentation for tracking the metrics.
- Own data pipelines that help drive the dashboard and ensure stability of data pipelines while adhering to SLAs.
- Create high-quality data output in line with best practices established within WMC.
- Ownership and accountability for the capture of all the relevant metrics for Operations & Client Services Yield Revenue Operations Client Services and Media Insights.
- Collaborate with XFN insights teams including contributing to Weekly Business Reviews
- Contribute to the Data Governance framework.
- Ensure correct access controls as per Data Governance guidelines have been applied to the data.
- Lead innovation and application of AI and GenAI technology on data sets.
- Build productive and positive relationships across the organization at all levels to drive influence.
- Establish team goals and visions and work with direct reports to execute measure progress and share results.
- Recruit develop mentor and inspire a high-performance team of Analytic Foundation data analysts.
- Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and ensuring diversity awareness.
- Work with offshore analytics teams as needed and develop clear roles and responsibilities for the team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Option 1: Bachelors degree in Business Engineering Statistics Economics Analytics Mathematics Arts Finance or related field and 3 years experience in data analysis data science statistics or related field.
- Option 2: Masters degree in Business Engineering Statistics Economics Analytics Mathematics Computer Science Information Technology or related field and 1 years experience in data analysis data science statistics or related field.
- Option 3: 5 years experience in data analysis data science statistics or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of online advertising industry working experience preferred with an understanding of advertising KPIs.
- Deep knowledge and experience working with large complex data sets.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit manage lead and mentor a high-performance team.
- Fluency in the language of digital media and online measurement: impressions CTR CPMs STR Fill rates unique users page views visits viewability demo comps etc.
- Strong business communication skills both written and verbal; with ability to communicate / present to internal teams also ability to express complex technical topics clearly & easily.
- Proficient in programming languages (Python or R) and solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases (for example Hive Big Query).
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and often lack of clarity demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and tight deadlines.
- Ability to lead teams with empathy while creating a high-performance culture.
