Store Supervisor (Sorell or Howrah based)

There are eight (8) retail locations in Southern Tasmania (Glenorchy Howrah Rosny Sorell Hobart City Moonah Kingston and Huonville).

We are currently recruiting for Store Supervisors for Sorell and Howrah Store. Both roles focus on delivering excellent customer service meeting sales targets and fostering a welcoming environment for volunteers and customers alike.

Reporting to the Retail Coordinator/Store Supervisor you will:

• Build relationships based on trust and honesty with employees volunteers customers and donors
• Open and close the retail store and manage the POS system
• Maintain knowledge of floor inventory rotate stock and assist customers in finding the best matches for their needs
• Acceptance of cash and product donations determine pricing and display product
• Provide excellent customer service to donators and customers
• Manage the overall presentation of the store through visual merchandising and general housekeeping
• Coach and mentor volunteers
• Undertake volunteer orientations as required maintain volunteer rosters volunteer records and liaise with Volunteer Engagement team
• Bring your creative side to life by working with your team to create engaging displays which highlight quality stock and brand recognition

About you:

• Previous retail experience including using a POS and cash handling
• Manual handling knowledge and ability to lift at least 10kg
• Strong communication skills with the ability to genuinely connect with your customers
• Previous supervision or team leader experience
• Understanding of second-hand/circular economy/ Op Shop industry practices
• Knowledge experience and understanding of volunteer management (desirable)
