We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Operations & Strategy Manager to support the Finance CFO Office. This role provides exposure to the inner workings of the Finance function in a high-growth environment with responsibilities spanning process improvement reporting technology enablement and departmental coordination. Its an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who wants to understand how a Finance function is run and gain experience in both finance and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Finance Operations Support
Track and report on Finance department delivery KPIs (e.g. close timelines budget adherence project delivery).
Monitoring and maintaining internal controls policies and compliance requirements.
Oversee the day-to-day running of the Finance department / establish the appropriate operating rhythm for CFO office priorities
Manage budgeting and resource allocation within the finance function itself.
2. Process Improvement & Transformation
Contribute to projects aimed at improving Finance efficiency (automation reporting simplification standardisation).
Support project management workflows documentation identify bottlenecks and propose improvements.
3. Cross-Team Coordination
Support coordination across Finance Teams driving collaboration and connectivity to delivery on finance priorities
Drive good discipline and drive delivery of CFO priorities
Prepare materials and summaries for Finance Mgmt or CFO reviews.
4. Project & Program Support
Provide data analysis and reporting for large-scale initiatives (e.g. finance transformation IPO readiness cost programmes).
Maintain project trackers and assist with status reporting.
Support vendor management and finance technology evaluations.
5. Colleague & Comms
Define and execute on colleague comms agenda
Workforce planning for the finance team (hiring training org design).
Drive culture talent development and career pathways in Finance.
6. Lead Operating Rhythm & Governance
Support Finance leadership meetings agendas and reporting packs.
Maintain department documentation policies and internal communications.
Assist with ad-hoc tasks and special projects across the Finance COO office.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics Business or related field.
2 years of experience in finance consulting finance strategy or a high-growth environment.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to data tools (e.g. SQL Tableau Power BI) a plus.
Familiarity with accounting or finance processes desirable but not required.
