Position Summary
The CNC Machine Supervisor will oversee 3rd shift machining operations at the Plaistow facility. This role is responsible for leading a team of CNC operators ensuring efficient production maintaining quality standards and driving a safe organized work environment. The Supervisor will be hands-on in troubleshooting training and supporting the team while coordinating with other shifts for continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and direct CNC Operators during 3rd shift operations.
Oversee machine set-up tooling changes and production runs to meet schedules.
Train mentor and evaluate operators to ensure skill development and adherence to best practices.
Troubleshoot CNC equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance as needed.
Monitor part quality ensuring all products meet specifications and standards.
Maintain production records shift reports and communicate effectively with other supervisors.
Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean organized work area.
Drive continuous improvement in efficiency throughput and quality.
Qualifications
5 years CNC machining experience with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of CNC equipment set-up operation and troubleshooting.
Experience in plastics extrusion or related manufacturing preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Proven leadership skills with ability to coach and motivate a shift team.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or process improvement methodologies a plus.
Must be willing and able to work 3rd shift consistently.
