Description
SpeechCom Inc is hiring a full-time special education teacher with a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Cross Categorical License (801) for the 2025-26 school year.
Rate of Pay: $40 - $50 per hour W2 (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-Time 40 hour work week with a 7.5 hour billable day
Details:
- Will work with elementary students at the middle childhood-early adolescent level.
- Will work with other service providers.
- Must have a Cross Categorical Department of Instruction License (801)

Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students
- Develop individualized academic goals
- Utilize learning technology and assistive devices to enhance student learning
- Create a positive and inclusive environment for students
- Use effective behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive social skills
- Collaborate with other educators parents and support staff to ensure the success of each student
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field Experience working with students with special needs in a classroom setting
- Knowledge of learning disabilities developmental delays and other special education needs
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies
- Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development for diverse learners
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues parents and students
Licensing Requirements:
- Wisconsin Depart of Instruction (DPI) License
- Cross Categorical DPI License (801)
