Description

SpeechCom Inc is hiring a full-time special education teacher with a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Cross Categorical License (801) for the 2025-26 school year.

Rate of Pay: $40 - $50 per hour W2 (depending on experience)

Hours: Full-Time 40 hour work week with a 7.5 hour billable day

Details:

Will work with elementary students at the middle childhood-early adolescent level.
Will work with other service providers.
Must have a Cross Categorical Department of Instruction License (801)

Requirements

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
Meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students
Develop individualized academic goals
Utilize learning technology and assistive devices to enhance student learning
Create a positive and inclusive environment for students
Use effective behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive social skills
Collaborate with other educators parents and support staff to ensure the success of each student
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed

Experience:

Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field Experience working with students with special needs in a classroom setting
Knowledge of learning disabilities developmental delays and other special education needs
Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies
Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development for diverse learners
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues parents and students

Licensing Requirements:

Wisconsin Depart of Instruction (DPI) License
Cross Categorical DPI License (801)
