We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mid Cobol Developer to join our dynamic team. You will contribute to the development and maintenance (both evolutive and corrective) of our current projects in the retail banking sector. You will be actively involved in all project phases from functional and technical analysis to testing and level 3 support.
Responsibilities
- Understand and contribute to writing detailed functional specifications;
- Participate in translating functional specifications into technical specifications;
- Estimate the workload required for development and unit testing;
- Adhere to the development environment rules and standards;
- Code configure and document the deliverables;
- Comply with architecture security quality and documentation standards and procedures;
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications through code reviews impact studies and obsolescence reviews;
- Define unit test cases for product components;
- Conduct performance tests and qualification tests (integration and non-regression);
- Provide level 3 support including incident monitoring and troubleshooting;
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for all developments (JIRA Wikis project documents);
- Contribute to continuous improvement actions to enhance application quality.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Cobol developer;
- Strong knowledge in: Cobol JCL procedures call sets scheduling File transfers AFP format ENDEVOR;
- Executing tests via job launches;
- TOM protocol;
- Mandatory experience on Mainframe Z/OS TSO/ISPF platforms;
- Experience with DB2 databases on Z/OS;
- Configuration management with Endeavor and beginner knowledge of GitHub;
- Knowledge of transaction monitors and SQL-DB2 is not mandatory but is a plus;
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team;
- French language skills are a strong plus.
