Job Summary
Description
Handles facilitates and / or coordinates material shipping receiving and processing according to company policies and procedures. Ensures the orderly stocking and efficient flow of both inbound and outbound materials / products. Maintains and updates the purchase order system as shipments are received cancelled or back ordered Ensures documentation is up-to-date and reflective of material orders deliveries storage and distribution.
Responsibilities
Gains familiarity with Shipping & Receiving concepts practices and methodologies. With guidance learns to perform Shipping & Receiving duties including: Receiving incoming deliveries Verifying purchase orders against the database Delivering incoming shipments Collecting outgoing shipments Shipping materials Verifying identifying information on bills of lading invoices purchase orders and other records. Learns and complies with Shipping & Receiving practices and policies. Assists with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Education or equivalent work experience required. Minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Shipping and Receiving. Good business English skills (Written and spoken).
