Job Summary

Payroll Specialist Full Time Sarasota FL

We are excited to announce the addition of a full-time Payroll Specialist to join our team in our beautiful Sarasota offices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process payroll for employees accurately and on schedule
Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll regulations
Calculate and process payroll deductions including taxes benefits and garnishments
Maintain accurate employee records and update changes in employment status
Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees
Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
Generate payroll reports for management review
Assist with year-end payroll activities including W-2 preparation

REQUIREMENTS:

Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist; experience with doctor commission calculations a plus
In-depth knowledge of payroll processes and regulations
Proficient in payroll software such as ADP or PeopleSoft
Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Familiarity with benefits administration and payroll-related tax regulations
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills for working with employees and management
