Job Summary
Position Title: Ultrasound Tech
Location: Syracuse NY
Job Type: Contract Local or Travel
Shift: Nights 10.5 hours 4 days (8:30 PM to 7:00 AM)
Duration: 12-week assignment
Payrate: $1500 to $2248/week
Note: No weekends holidays or on-call required
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Ultrasound Techfor an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse NY.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate sonographic equipment independently to perform diagnostic exams
Differentiate normal and pathological findings using sound clinical judgment
Obtain and review relevant patient medical history to enhance diagnostic accuracy
Communicate findings effectively to the radiologist and medical team
Ensure daily operation of the ultrasound lab including managing patient schedules
Perform daily equipment checks maintenance and quality assurance procedures
Follow all hospital and departmental protocols safety and infection control standards
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
RDMS certification in Abdominal and OB/GYN required
Minimum 1 year of experience in diagnostic medical sonography
Must pass pre-employment health clearance
