Are you bready* for a change
As a Senior Software Engineer on Toasts 3rd Party Ordering team you will build seamless integrations that connect tens of thousands of restaurants with popular delivery platforms and ordering services. You will design and build new high-volume integrations that drive meaningful revenue for our restaurants. You bring deep technical understanding of distributed systems and integration patterns with the experience to guide architectural decisions that ensure reliability at scale. You are product-minded building strong partnerships with PM and UX to optimize the ordering experience for both restaurant operators and their customers while collaborating effectively with platform partners and internal Toast teams.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Work collaboratively with UX PM QA and other engineers building web applications using modern technologies
- Drive best practices and help choose technologies to evolve our current tech stack while writing world-class applications
- Champion best practices such as quality integration and unit testing
- Provide design feedback and participate in code reviews to ensure implementations meet requirements
- Mentor other team members
- Leverage cutting edge AI tools to enhance your development workflow improve velocity and help pioneer new approaches to building - contributing to a culture of innovation and productivity across the team.
Do you have the right ingredients* (Requirements)
- Passionate about building great software
- Driven by impact and solving for the customer
- Proficient in all aspects of backend development
- Experience with Java Kotlin or similar object-oriented languages
- Proficient in software development best practices including observability and testing
- Experience delivering high-quality reliable services to production at scale
- Excellent cross-team communication skills on complex technical topics
- Familiar with traditional databases and alternative data stores
