Job Summary
Project Kuiper is Amazons low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast reliable internet to customers and communities around the world and weve designed the system with the capacity flexibility and performance to serve a wide range of customers from individual households to schools hospitals businesses government agencies and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
- Troubleshoot production issues in a timely manner
- Support and manage daily production operations and eliminate blockers and/or part shortages
- Work with cross functional teams to solve production issues
- Provide design for manufacturability feedback and drive positive continuous change to hardware
- Work with process quality and design engineers to continuously improve manufacturing processes
A day in the life
As a Manufacturing Engineer this person will be supporting the technician team by resolving any obstacles and working with responsible engineers to disposition non-conformances. This individual will work closely with engineering teams in specifying and building or procuring tools and line equipment for Kuiper hardware builds. The successful candidate has some basic experience in supporting production of space hardware through development QTP (qualification test procedures) and flight hardware ATP (acceptance test procedures).

- 1 years of experience supporting production in a manufacturing capacity or related field
- 1 years of experience with RCCA
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering electrical engineering material science physics or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $86900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
