Job Description

Job Summary

Landon is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse to be a substitute on-call nurse. This role involves providing healthcare services to students and staff two days per week during the school year with the opportunity to work full-time hours during the summer months starting summer 2026.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to students and staff including first aid medication administration and management of chronic health conditions.
  • Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate health records.
  • Collaborate with school staff parents and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans.
  • Educate students and staff on health and wellness topics.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations and school policies.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of health-related events and programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work full-time during the summer camp program if interested
