Job Summary
Landon is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse to be a substitute on-call nurse. This role involves providing healthcare services to students and staff two days per week during the school year with the opportunity to work full-time hours during the summer months starting summer 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to students and staff including first aid medication administration and management of chronic health conditions.
- Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate health records.
- Collaborate with school staff parents and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans.
- Educate students and staff on health and wellness topics.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations and school policies.
- Participate in the planning and execution of health-related events and programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work full-time during the summer camp program if interested
