Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:


The Jr. Buyer is responsible for the purchasing of all Outsource product as well as any OTS material needed for programs customer service managing shipping and receiving of outsource product and material planning for programs.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Verify all orders for acceptance
  • Order materials to support production schedule
  • Purchase all raw materials program related
  • Maintain vendor list and ratings
  • Customer service-complaints inquiries etc.
  • Produce customer on-time delivery report
  • Manage all facets of shipping & receiving as it pertains to outsource programs: shipping list returns personnel etc.
  • Utilize six-sigma quality tools when appropriate to define measure analyze improve and control processes and outcomes.
  • Responsible to maintain & support processes procedures & K.P.I.s owned by your position.
  • Review of all procedures related to your job
  • Completion within time stated of all training required by Job Description
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Regular and punctual attendance.
  • Follow all Company policies and procedures.
Requirements

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:


To conform to U.S. export control regulations applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.


SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Basic office skills
  • Strong communication skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience in purchasing
  • Computer literacy (Primarily Microsoft Excel Word Salesforce and other pertinent software)
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure doing several tasks simultaneously while setting priorities

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses hearing protection steel toe shoes and other mandatory safety equipment.
  • For the most part ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sit or stand as needed.
  • Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
  • Reaching above shoulder height below the waist or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.
  • Proper lifting techniques required.
  • Ability and comfortability to work in small confine spaces while following proper safety protocol.
  • Ability to accomplish the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
